Quick Tip Tuesday

Hello everyone, Angie here from Angie's Paper Passion. I'd like to welcome you to my first post here on Quick Tip Tuesday! I hope to share tips that will help you in your crafting journey, whether it's to save time, money, or just your sanity, lol! I'd love to hear your feedback so please leave your comments below.

I have not one, but two money saving tips for you today! I used both of these tips for my Design Team Challenge layout on yesterdays post - #153 - Spring is in the Air!

First, I have to say that I love using pop dots on most of my projects - a lot of pop dots! And that can add  up over time. So I have learned to use up every little piece that comes in the pop dot packages instead of just throwing away the leftovers.

Look at all that extra adhesive foam left over! Just think, I used to throw all of that out. But no more! Now I take my heavy duty scissors and cut whatever size that I need for my project.

Plus it gives you the added benefit of having the perfect size for your image! This will make your one package of pop dots last even longer (more money for more paper, lol!).

My next tip is about saving money on cardstock - especially if it won't be seen in the first place! I started by layering my papers and cardstock for my layout when I realized that I didn't have enough of the orange cardstock to make one of the mats. So since the large orange sheet was on the bottom of my layout, I just cut a large rectangle from the middle of it where it wouldn't be seen from the front. I now had enough orange cardstock to finish my project without panicking and running to the store to buy more!

The finished layout:

Now the back of the finished layout:

You'd never know just by looking at the front that I cut a big chunk out of the back! So what other ways do you think that you can start saving a little here and there? Think about it, you'd be surprised! I'll be back next week with another Quick Tip Tuesday. Until then, Happy Crafting!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for our Wednesday's Winners!
